Die Konzertsaison in der Süb startet mit einer Show, die es in sich hat: Die multikulturelle Londoner Band Los Pepes steht für herzerfrischend-dreckigen Rock’n’Roll und ruft zur wilden Party in die Neuneinhalb.
Soaking up the rock and roll of the Testors, the melody of the Sunnyboys and the no bullshit punk of Slaughter And The Dogs, it’s songs in your head and ringing in your ears. Despite being an intense force of nature, especially live, Los Pepes add a soupcon of intelligence to this punk rock with harmony heavy songwriting and honest lyrics about a far from straightforward life. Based in London, Los Pepes have been releasing records and touring since late 2013. Featuring an international membership all the way from the UK to Japan to Brazil to Poland, Los Pepes is an example of rock and roll transcending borders and being relevant all over planet earth.

Stunk kommen kettenrasselnd direkt aus der stinkigen Scheppergarage. Das ist Punkrock, der einen ganz giftig und kalt anfasst, durchkaut, ausspotzt. Viel zu kratzbürstig, viel zu widerborstig für die aufgepumpte Arenabühne in euren Herzen. Rasend zackige 1-2-3-4-Mucke, die wie von der Tarantel gestochen durchs Oberstübchen poltert und dabei mal nach Ami-80s-Hardcore klingt, mal fast an die protomäßigen Vorläufer von alldem erinnert.
Die deutschsprachigen Texte hauen Stunk einem dabei nasskalt um die Ohren. Sarkastisch und widerlich holen diese fiesen Zeilen so manches aus dem Gebälk, was einem lieber versteckt geblieben wäre. Giftige Gassenhauer gegen das Eingelulltsein.
